Ashley Graham was born on November 22nd, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. Two of her sisters were raised in the same household, and she often faced bullying in school due to the large size of her thighs. Graham was diagnosed as having ADHD shortly following her graduation from elementary school. Graham overcame this obstacle along with other obstacles throughout her childhood. Graham was discovered in Nebraska by a talent agent at the age of 12 years old. After she graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2005, she appeared in billboards and magazines. She had a unique physical shape that made finding employment difficult when she first started. Graham had several offers for catalog girls, but there was a belief that she wouldn't be able progress beyond basic projects. The session castings were wrong. However, her career exploded. In 2007, she had an interview with Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine. This gave her one of her very first major breakthroughs. In 2009 she appeared in "Glamour magazine"'s "These Bodies Can Be Beautiful regardless of size" alongside Sally Singer. Graham was once more in the news by being featured on Lane Bryant's controversial advertisement. The commercial was ultimately removed from several markets. The controversy grew to the point where Graham was a guest on Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." Graham became well-known and one of most popular plus-size women in the world today. Grande began acting and singing as a child. In 2008, she was awarded a role in the Broadway show 13 which she performed in, and soon was appearing in bits on television shows. In 2010, she got her big break when she got a role as a character in the Nickelodeon series Victorious. The character she played was Cat Valentine, an adolescent in a school for performing arts. After the demise of the sitcom, she starred as Sam & Cat.
