Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competing in the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina continued to win and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia, who began her career as a professional in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016, the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships also staged in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off career-long MMA career in 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO in the second round, and was able to take home two subsequent bouts, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa in a unanimously-decided match, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina took the UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina recovered from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
